This group aims to provide a forum for photography-minded members to get together, share images, experiences, and expertise, and explore ideas and opportunities for photography and videography in the Oceanside area (and beyond!).
The scope includes all genres of photography, videography, and post-processing. It covers cameras, drones, and smartphones.
The format will consist of monthly meetings, preferably hosted at members’ homes on a rotating basis.
At the meetings, we hope to invite one or two members to share a slideshow collection of photos based on a theme of their choosing, along with the story or narrative behind the images. In addition, we would like to invite a member or two to give a short, informal, and informative presentation or talk on a related subject (such as a technique, piece of gear, specialist genre, etc.). There is no obligation, of course!
Beyond that, we hope the meetings will provide an opportunity to chat over coffee (or whatever) about photography-related themes. Hopefully, this will spark ideas for photo opportunities, which may lead to members informally arranging to meet up later for ad hoc outings.
